Short answer: A supported device, current software, stable internet, and access to your email are the four basics to prepare before streaming setup.
Before you begin
- Place your device where it receives a stable Wi-Fi signal, or use Ethernet when available.
- Check that your TV, stick, phone, tablet, or computer is supported by your chosen service.
- Have the email address used for your order available.
Step-by-step setup preparation
- Check the connection: Pause large downloads and test another streaming service to identify whether the issue is the network or the device.
- Update the device: Install available operating-system and app updates, then restart the device.
- Clear space: Remove unused apps if storage is nearly full. Low storage can cause slow updates and playback errors.
- Test playback: Try a short video and check sound, picture, and remote controls before adding another service.
